Max Gilbert - Mark Gray

Mark Gray is an Australian born photographer, know primarily for his panoramic landscape and cityscape photography. Practicing only since his formal education as web designer, his work has become sought after at auctions for selling prices as high as $15,000. The time and dedication he spends in his work is reflected in the incredible moments he captures. The large majority of this work is presented as panoramic views of landscapes, utilizing a wide-angle lens fitted to a digital camera.

Marcin Osadzin

The photographer I chose for this week was Marcin Osadzin. A lot of his work is landscape, but I do see similarities in the photos we take. Most of the stuff he does has some form of lines, geometry, and/or symmetry. That is the stuff I often look for, and it seems that he looks for that stuff too.

Francesca Woodman was an American photographer.  Most of her work is in black and white, and she used herself as a subject in many of her photographs.  Her work contains beautiful use of light but also a slightly eerie, haunting quality.  Her body of work was incredibly developed, which is even more impressive given her young age.  She began taking pictures at the age of 13 and continued to create work until her suicide at the age of 22 in 1981.

Janet makes photos by gazing into a store window and becoming interested in all that a single pane of glass can contain.  "These photographs are born from an inexhaustible desire to look;  to meditate on intention and accident; to uncover the layers of experience within a moment;  to mingle inside and outside, to play with fertile confusion;  to be attentive to those moments when everyday reality becomes charged;  to respond to that charge with images that convey elusive but potent meanings.  I have stood in the places and found these reflected images, without manipulation, with vision.  My photographs are not the result of digital manipulation or double exposure. Vibrant Color Landscapes

Rodney is a purist who captures what nature creates, using NO color filters or darkroom deception.

I first saw Rodney's work in his Park City Utah studio several years ago and most recently this past summer at his Las Vegas studio which re-inspired me to pump up the vivid and bold colors in my shots.
