I chose Kyle Thompson because someone shared a link to his work on Facebook. I wanted to share this with this class because he started with abandoned buildings and self portraits and I know a few people in this class are working on these themes. He is an untrained photographer who is now making a living as a photographer. He became known after posting his photos to Reddit getting 4 million views. So that's a lesson for all you buddy artists - internet presence is important.
He successfully raised $20,927 for a Conceptual Photo Roadtrip book through Kickstarter.
