Cecil Beaton was an English fashion
photographer known primarily for his portraits of people in high society. He
was born in 1904 and his interest in photography started at a young age. He
began taking pictures of his sisters at the age of 11, attempting to recreate
what he saw in fashion magazines. Many of his photos were very glamorous and
theatrical due to his background in set and costume design.
