Walter Arnold is a self taught photographer, particularly focused in capturing the remnants of times long since past. He grew up in an artistic family in Elmira, New York, where he developed a technique to capturing his style of photography known as "The Art of Abandonment". Utilizing HDR imagery, his hope is to capture the beauty and detail in what might otherwise be passed by. His work has received both a national and international audience, and one of his images was even selected by movie director, Ron Howard, to inspire the short film "When You Find Me".
