Matthew Christopher - Max Gilbert

Matthew Christopher has always held a great interest in abandoned sites since he was a child. However it hasn't been until the last decade that he began documenting this interest in his photography. His interest likely stemmed from the documentation he completed in the decline of the state hospital system nearly ten years ago. Although not originally educated in photography, he did recently complete his MFA, specializing in Fine Art Photography. He currently hosts a website called Abandoned America that highlights a great deal of his work.
